Lab instrument repair and calibration.
$395 flat rate
A dead incubator is not a hard engineering problem. It is a scheduling problem. The OEM wants six hundred dollars and a month, and the local independents want to quote it over the phone first. Meanwhile your experiment is dying.
What you get
$395 flat rate on incubators, centrifuges and microscopes. Flat, not an estimate. You know the number before the instrument leaves your bench.
Traceable calibration, $75 to $300 per unit, against mass and platinum resistance thermometer standards, with a certificate.
Refurbished instruments, bought broken and sold working, when what you actually need is a second one rather than a repair.
What it replaces
OEM service starts north of $623 before parts and routinely runs thirty days. That is correct pricing for a service organisation with a national footprint and wrong for a lab three miles away with a stalled experiment.
Bay Area independents do exist and several are good. The pattern is quote-by-phone and slow. The gap is same-week turnaround at a number posted on a website.
How it works
Bring it in or arrange pickup. Flat rate covers diagnosis and labour; consumable parts are quoted before they are fitted. If it cannot be economically fixed you are told that and you do not pay the flat rate.

Common questions
What instruments do you repair for $395 flat?
Incubators, centrifuges and microscopes. The flat rate covers diagnosis and labour. Consumable parts are quoted separately and before they are fitted.
How long does lab instrument repair take?
Same week is the target, against roughly thirty days for OEM service. The constraint is usually part availability rather than bench time.
Is your calibration traceable?
Yes. Calibration runs against mass and platinum resistance thermometer standards and comes with a certificate, at $75 to $300 per unit. ISO 17025 accreditation is deliberately deferred until demand proves it is worth the overhead, and that is stated up front rather than implied away.
